Policies
Please ensure that you read these terms and conditions of enrolment before registering.
These rules apply to all pupils, including those who currently attend classes.
Fees: We offer two types of fee payment; monthly or termly invoice. If the teacher is unavailable to give any scheduled lesson, and a supply teacher cannot be arranged, the lesson will be carried forward to another date. If this is not possible, any fee already paid will be transferred to the next term. There will be no reduction in fees for lessons missed by the pupil unless a doctors’ note is shown.
Refunds: Warwick School of Dance is under no obligation to refund or transfer any monies if you are unable to attend part of or the entire term. Missed lessons cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances, including to another term or participant.
If you wish to withdraw your child from the term on medical grounds, then we require a letter from your GP or specialist detailing the nature of your child’s ailment and confirming that your child has been medically signed off for the period of the relevant term. Warwick School of Dance can only refund fees for serious medical conditions/injuries, for example, broken bones. A formal letter of withdrawal and request for a refund from you is required, alongside a doctor’s letter signing your child off for a minimum of six weeks.
Private lessons: A minumum of 48 hours notice must be given to cancel/postpone private lessons (including shared/duet lessons). This must be given to the Principal in writing. Failure to do so will result in lesson fees being charged.
Leaving the school/changing class registrations: A months notice is required if a pupil will not be continuing with a class. Failure to do so will result in a months fees being charged. (This includes dropping classes while continuing with others.)
COVID-19/communicable disease policy: Should a local lockdown come into force at any time during a pre-paid half-term, we will endeavour to reschedule all classes for the remainder of that half-term into online classes. There will be no refund for that half-term’s fees. (Exceptions to this rule may be granted where the student has no access to zoom classes; please contact mail@warwickschoolofdance.co.uk to discuss individual cases). Should a local lockdown continue into a second half-term, the fees charged for that half-term will be in line with our Zoom class price structure and not our face-to-face class price structure.
Please ensure you have also reviewed our specific, COVID-19 safety information regarding class procedures etc.
Lost Property: The school cannot undertake any responsibility for any money or articles left behind after classes.
Uniform: All pupils must wear the correct uniform for each class. Hair must be tied back at all times. Ballet students should wear their hair in a bun. Ballet and character shoes should not be worn outside the studio. It will not only ruin the shoes but dirt, grit etc can also be walked onto the floor where children are often sitting/lying. All uniform can be ordered through the school.
Discipline: Pupils are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner whilst attending classes and be respectful to both teachers and fellow pupils at all times. This will ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. Mobile phones must be turned off or switched to silent if brought in to class.
Parking: Parking at any of our venues is at your own risk, we do not accept any liability to your car or your personal possessions.
Warwick School of Dance reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
